Stainless steel electrode is generally divided into: stainless steel, ferritic stainless steel and martensitic stainless steel three. Because the resistance of stainless steel, high thermal conductivity is poor, therefore, compared with the low carbon steel, welding current can be smaller and shorter welding time. Such materials have high temperature strength, the electrode must be high pressure to prevent shrinkage, cracks and other defects. Strong carbon steel welding rod thermal sensitivity, usually shorter welding time, strong internal and external water cooling, and to accurately control the heating time, weld time and weld current, to prevent the heat-affected zone grain growth and the emergence of intergranular corrosion.
Stainless steel welding electrodes recommended Class 2 or 3 electrode alloy in order to meet the needs of the high electrode force.
