The laser used in China up mode with wire, from the material points can be divided into the following categories:

1, stainless steel wire

Advantages: cheap;

Disadvantages: low hardness, Welding Wire spots apparent;
 
Uses: mainly used for training and exercises.
                                  
2, mold base metal wire drawing or argon

Advantages: cheap, variety (manufacturer from China, Taiwan, Korea and Japan);

Disadvantages: not good melting, welding spots apparent cracks prone to blisters and other bad quality;
                     
(Type of wire with the base metal before welding performance closer, but after high-energy laser melting, then cooled in air after curing, the metallographic structure of the welding mold base material with the metallurgical structure is inconsistent.)

Purpose: mold used for less demanding quality repair.
 
3, the laser welding wire mode-specific (laser wire)
 
Advantages: good melting, Flux Cored Welding Wires spots is not obvious, is not prone to blisters cracks and other bad quality;
          
(Type of wire with a variety of alloy composition, after the high-energy laser melting, and then naturally cooled after curing, the metallographic structure of the welding mold base material with the same metallographic structure, after the welding performance with the same base metal mold .)

Disadvantages: less brand (currently only German production, and only three to five manufacturers);
 
Purpose: mold used for high quality repair.
 
German production of laser welding is also divided into two categories:

One is based on argon produced by the wire electrode process, strictly speaking, can not be used in laser welding mode; the other is specifically developed for laser welding and laser welding wire special (such as DSI and Quada laser welding).
