Arc welding robots in the automotive industry is widely used in many Aluminium Welding Wireprocesses. Complex three-dimensional shape of the stamping components by welding robot welding, stamping on the size of these high precision. In fact, the dimensional accuracy of stamping if below, it will cause changes such as the weld root gap and GMAW (gas-shielded arc welding) wire target position changes. These changes often result in dislocation or melt welding defects such as wear and increase the time workers repair defects. High-speed welding can significantly improve efficiency, however, the welding speed too fast will cause undercut, raised seam, weld defects such as lack of width, also increase the weld defect repair time.
Most of these problems by reducing the welding speed, weld width sufficient to ensure solution. However, when considering the efficiency and cost, this solution will not work. Solve the above problem of a high-speed welding is by adjusting the shape of the weld penetration: increasing the weld width. Increase will reduce the width of weld seam discontinuity, improved weld quality, particularly for welding sheet metal. Welding quality can be achieved by further reducing the welding slag, slag will peel because the weld coating.
In order to achieve these requirements, Kobe Steel of Japan (Kobe Stee) developed a new GMAW Welding Wires wire: SE-A50FS, can form a wide welding seam, resulting in minimal slag. The company also developed a variety of methods to control its weld pool characteristics.
GMAW welding applications using the new
GMAW welding wire manufactured shape appearance, less slag, is ideal for automotive and electronics industries sheet (2 ~ 4mm) corner of the lap joint and T-joint welding. The wire is also suitable for mixed-gas (Ar and CO2) welding.
